Follow these simple steps to quickly integrate Dropbox with your Advance File Manager plugin, and start managing your files like a pro!

Dropbox Account

1. To use the Dropbox feature, you must first log in or sign up for a Dropbox Account.

2. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be directed to your Dropbox dashboard.

Enable Dropbox Integration

1. Navigate to WordPress Admin Dashboard > File Manager > Integrations tab.

2. In the Integrations, go to the Dropbox card and click on the toggle to enable the Dropbox integrations.

3. After enabling the dropbox, click on the Settings in the Dropbox card.

4. In the Dropbox Settings, if you do not have the Dropbox library installed then it will ask you to install the dropbox library.
5. In order to install the library, click on the Install Dropbox Library button.

6. After installing the library, add your custom Alias.

7. Next, you need to get the App Key and App Secret Key, for that you’ll need to create an app in the Dropbox App Console.
8. Click on the Dropbox App Console.

Dropbox App Configuration

1. In Dropbox App Console, click on Create App to proceed with the setup and continue configuring your integration.

2. Select the desired API from Choose an API. 
3. Choose the type of access you need from Access Type.
4. Then provide a Name for your app.
5. After reviewing the terms and conditions, check the box to agree.
6. Finally, click Create App to proceed to the next step.

7. In the Settings tab, you need to add the Redirect URIs in OAuth2.

8. Copy the Redirect URI from the Dropbox settings in the plugin.

9. Paste it into the ‘’OAuth2 [Redirect URIs]’’

10. Now, go to the Permissions tab and select the permissions that allows the plugin to view and manage the Dropbox account info.
11. Click on checkboxes to select the permissions.

12. Now, go to the Branding tab, fill in the required credentials and click Save Changes.

13. Now, go back to the Settings and click on Apply for Production.

14. On the Request Production Status page, fill out the required valid details and click Submit to complete the process.

15. Yee Haa! Your app has been successfully created!

Plugin Site Setup

1. Navigate to Dropbox > Settings.
2. Copy the App Key and App secret.

3. Paste the App Key and App secret in the plugin.

4. Click on Save Changes.
5. Click on Connect Dropbox to connect the plugin with Dropbox.

6. It will ask you for permission, click on Continue.

7. Next, click on Allow.

8. You have successfully configured and connected the Dropbox with WordPress.

9. You can select the user roles from the User Role Access that is allowed to access the Dropbox file manager.

10. You can also restrict access to the folder, add folder in Private Folder Access.

Access Dropbox in File Manager

1. After connecting the Dropbox and saving the changes, navigate to the WordPress Dashboard > File Manager.
2. You can see the Dropbox in the tree.
